Hi, I’m Amanda
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts, as well as a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) with over 4 years of post-graduate experience. I have worked with clients of all ages and diagnoses including anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, dementia, PTSD, and grief and loss. I specialize in helping adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse through a client-centered and trauma-informed lens.
I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA after receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. I have had the honor of training in various clinical settings, including internships at Walnut Street Center and 2Life Communities, and field experience at Arbour Counseling Services and three years as an expressive arts therapist at ARTrelief, LLC.
My personality as a clinician is similar to that of a close friend who has clinical knowledge and a non-judgemental, neutral viewpoint. I want my clients to feel safe to be themselves in this space and safe to express their emotions freely. Not everyone likes using humor in therapy, but for those that find it helpful for coping and healing, we could be a great fit.
